Fictitious MRP on drugs

We really need urgent action from consumer dept and health department. A Cancer drug having a pharmacist cost of 700 is sold by him for 2100 and has a mrp of 4000. There is commissions and cuts at all steps . The pharmacy pays commission to doctor.

Action needed here is to limit the gap between price to dealer and mrp to consumer. If govt doesnt take action then atleat members of the circle must discuss and put together standard industry discount values so we can all be smart consumers. more

I had a similar experience at Tata Cancer Hospital in New Town area of Kolkata. On the day of a scheduled chemotherapy on my friend, the recommended supplier delivered three medicines with a bill for RS. 11,000 only to be paid. The bill was showing price of the medicines as RS. 34,000/ and discount of RS. 23,000/. Does not this look ridiculous? I hesitate to hazard any guess on this kind of pricing strategy by any company or dealer. Who gets what? more
hi , this is not the case with only cancer drugs, it is true for all consumer goods. ther is no fix criteria for fixing MRP and there is no Control of Consumer affairs Deptt. on it. more
The unreasonable price difference between first Sale and the end-user price alone is the cause looting the public in almost items and need to be curbed. more
Today A.P. Police caught duplicate Medicines in Bulk those originated Uttarakhand. Such Sale is a life challenge and equal to attempt to Murder too . more
Hi, This is not only in Cancer Drugs. Each and every medical products having 300% to 400%. Government can separate Hospitals and Medical shops, this can be curtailed. Also the brand and non brand medicines to be curtailed in this sector. Then only medicines cost will come down. more
Let us forget that the government departments will ever function effectively. more
