Filing of IT returns
IRS has a lot of data available to them pumped in by Banks, Credit card companies, sales tax, property tax,registration of property sale deeds; travel companies airlines, hotels/restaurants; traders;jewelers;car companies etc etc but IRS analysis only that data that can bring them money and not to the department.IRS knows every thing about most of the people in the country but this data is not used to bring in more in the tax net.
We see Vegetable vendors having big owning big houses;even PAANWALA have big houses; a sweet shop vendor has a university opened up in Punjab. Don't IRS department wish to investigate where from all the money came from. Salaries people are the only ones who are harassed but nobody goes after others since they collect their "HAPHTA" from them.The employees of IRS get rich the government/country gets cheated/poor in whole bargain. more

Agreed. The worry is that the hard working and sincere are punished with heavy taxes and made to be laughing stock of the generally (aam admi) insincere, cricket selling (ticket selling), movie playing, corrupt and lazy. The system shall start protecting the productive (food and equipment) and hard working people. more

Mr. Panuganti, Sir it is not within my purview to punish the corrupt. Let us do Karma and point out the grave mistakes of the Government through press/ Newspaper. Because after having a in depth knowledge of a Corruption case, it can be given a good publicity through press/media. But we should not speak that we are taxed heavily. more
