Finally CPCB waking up

CPCB and Environment Ministry must work with an extreme sense of urgency. Seems like finally they are moving in the right direction. Problem is lethargy. Minister said Something 1 month ago and now CPCB has written to the local bodies. If the govt doesnt cut its bureaucratic process crap in this area and learn to move fast, they will always be chasing and reacting.

Labelling the actions taken by government agencies to curb pollution in Delhi-NCR ‘grossly inadequate’ amounting to ‘criminal’ negligence’, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has sent notices to construction agencies, civic bodies and land holding agencies, warning them of criminal proceedings if they fail to take action against polluting sources despite being informed.

The country’s apex pollution monitoring and control body has also come up with a checklist, which government agencies have to follow to curb pollution. This includes penalising land-owning agencies if garbage is burnt on their land, preparing winter-specific plans for construction sites and submitting details of construction sites to the CPCB.

“Poor air quality affects the health of people and it has been observed that actions taken by construction agencies, municipal corporations and land holding agencies continue to be grossly inadequate in Delhi-NCR, which amounts to criminal negligence,” read the CPCB notice. more

THAT IS HOW MAULANA JL NEHRU DESTROYED DELHI by Ramakant Tiwari https://niratishaya.wordpress.com/2018/11/24/that-is-how-maulana-jl-nehru-destroyed-delhi/ more
Our government is concerned for GDP statistics, if they have any will power it's very easy to control, in Hong Kong it is almost 50 yes. they have discouraged for having personal car ,they have levied so much taxes that even high middle class can't dream for a personal car ,they encouraged taxis for lower taxes, and other mode's of transportation, you must aware of this. But I don't think our government will do this more
Let us hope some strict sanctions will be taken finally@ But why were they so passive and inactive so far? Let us hope they will act strongly now. People are really suffering too much and the polluters have been caring two hoots for the welfare of the public. They have only both more
On ground very less govt officers work. Fresh minds are not added in these offices. It make compulsory that every IIT graduate should work for india at least for 3 yr. Many problem will be resolved. more
