1. Taps with sensors should be installed in trains to reduce water wastage 2. Leakage free flushes should be designed for train toilets 3. If possible, waterless urinals should be installed on stations and inside trains 4. Waiting rooms should be redesigned with clean washrooms 5. Taps on platforms should be redesigned so they do not leak which is currently very common 6. Redesign and reconfigure things so there are separate toilets for men and women 7. Exhaust fans should be installed in toilets 8. Redesign glass windows so they get properly shut 9. More charging points should be installed in Shatabdi and Rajdhani 10. The chain pulling system should be replaced with an emergency alarm system 11. All the lights should be replaced by LEDs to minimize the power consumption 12. The roof of the coach could be of fiberglass with opening hatches - for cool ventilation in hot summer 13. Double decker trains have a cramped leg room. Some seats should be removed so that the leg space could be improved 14. The upper birth should be made more passenger friendly 15. Height of the platforms and train entrance should be made equal 16. All platforms should have full length weather sheds 17. Platforms should be made wheel chair friendly 18. The entry doors at the compartments should be widened like in metro trains 19. Automatic door closing system should be installed. The train should move only after the doors have closed 20. To open bogie door one needs real physical strength and some skill. Make it smoother 21. Make bogie joints smoother so passengers experience less jerks when train stops or starts 22. Solar panels should be set on top of the coaches to extract energy for the utilization 23. Stations should have a temperature oriented design – warm in winters and cool in summers 24. Pantry inside the train should be redesigned to maintain hygiene and cleanliness 25. The windows of the general compartment should be better designed. Water enters though the windows during rains 26. Toilets should be made disabled friendly. They should have parallel bars to hold and spray washers 27. Seating facility on the platforms should be increased for passengers more
