Fleecing by Railways
Sir, Booked a Tatkal ticket. At the time of Booking Start it showed "Available 100 (original 132)". By the time I completed the booking to the best of my ability and speed the ticket was on WL 7 & 8. Amount paid for booking Rs.1,040/- This did not get confirmed. Auto cancellation and amount returned Rs.920/- For the inefficiency of the Railways we foot the billl. Is this not loot? Rail travel is common mans mode of travel and this loot should be dispensed with. more

In my view for Tatkal booking, no waiting list tkt issued. Only confirmed tkt should be issued. more

ok sir, but poor and middle income people feel this 120 rs as high. so they can make a deductionof 25 % of ticket charge with a cap of Rs.50, that may be genuine more

No deduction for auto refund. If the ticket is cancelled by passenger then there may be some deduction. more

It is high time that passenger should fight for full refund of wait listed Tatkal ticket if not confirmed. It is not fault of passenger who pay for a waitl isted ticket. If there is problem it is with Railways. It should not issue any waiting ticket at all. more
