Flouting of Govt rule to not publish higher MRP

Officials and Fellow Circle Members - I have noticed 3 times in one week that this company called CATCH has come up with a shining printed water bottle which is different than the white cap CATCH bottle with MRP 20 Rs or 40 Rs and this bottle is priced at 100 Rs.

Seems all restaurants have started stocking this bottle with a price of 100. Soon PVR will sell that same bottle.

Like this they are making a fool of the consumers. Now every restaurant will only supply premium CATCH, BISLERI, HIMALAYA, KINLEY.

Consumers Affairs dept, you need to go to the source of who is approving this water as a seperate product (though it is same) and cut these guys off there. Otherwise RIP your dual MRP law. more

All restaurants and hotels are bound to provide clean, filtered water to its patrons. It is our foolishness that we demand bottled water. Once we start asking for filtered water in Jug, as is usually provided in hotels, they will understand that patron have become smart enough. Otherwise nothing will happen. more
Has this been corrected Sanjana? more
Regular cinema goers should make hue and cry with the Govt. to let them take water inside the theater. Of course they can object taking for food stuff inside the theater. Air and water are necessities for man to survive, nobody can stop drink their own processed water. more
Serious objection shall be raised by this forum to change the law and reign in the unscrupulous traders. The unethical practice must be made to stop forthwith. more
It's not a matter of Government failing to control price. Rather there is a covert support and companies will always try to find a loophole in the Laws and Clauses. The Rs.100/- Bottles would be shown as Premium product and they would make a kill with it in Restaurants, Airports & Multiplexes...both the company and seller would earn handsomely from it. Without doubt when the murmurs of common public starts gathering more sound, they would come out with an Ad depicting these high rated products as premium. Just by changing the cap and packaging they are pushing a new brand where earnings for them is more. They would no doubt convince the Government and even contribute to the party fund and they would continue to fleece common public. more
