Flouting of rules by ecommerce platforms
Localcircles, per fssai rules, a product must have atleast 40% shelf life left for it to be selling on ecommerce platforms.
I see some of the top
Platforms openly flouting these norms.
Flipkart and Jiomart and even big basket both selling packaged items very close to expiry date, like 10% shelf life left.
Please get them booked more

Regret I have not been able to lay my hand on such rule by FSSAI. I understand that such a rule specifying 60% for imported food items perhaps exists. Nevertheless, there must be adequate time left before best before date for utilisation. If this is persisting problem, Local Circles may request the Manager for conducting a survey. more

Almost all are maintaining kuchcha recipt and pakka receipt. Sales Tax officers are almost unseen. Drugs and intoxicants go for no tax at origin or at consumption, but true tax is levied by decorated sellers. more

yes lot of these e commerce do it even though a rule has been mentioned t I understand to mention the expiry date.all these ecommerce org try to push the latest expiry date and just want to see customers do not see it and use it .I have complained sometimes especially for breads and also some pulses and they have prompty replaced without asking for any reason which tells that they were aware of it . more
