Focus on effective city public transport system
1) 60,000 cars converted into CNG during 1-9th Jan.2016.
2) DMRC claims that their services have become more efficient due to inreased trips and metro running packed during odd-even period.
3) DTC buses didn't miss any scheduled trip due to reduced congestion.
4) DTC claims increase in daily ridership by 3 lac during said period.
5) By Dec.2017, metro daily ridership shall increase to 45 lac from existing 30 lac passengers.
6) App based mini shuttle ridership doubled during odd-even period. This will encouge operators to expand suttle services at competitive fares with quality rides.
7) SC appointed committee also asked to explore possibility of modernization of city's rail circular services which is now in a pathetic condition. more

Chaloo, one good thing is, public has started using, public transport, resulting in savings to public and also government for saving previous forex reserves which was spent on crude oil bills. more
