FOCUSED & INCREASED TESTING TAKES T.N.TO NEW DAILY HIGHS :

Medical Experts have advised in T.N.to increase the testing to identify , intervene new positive cases . It is a good Strategy to detect new cases early from Focused areas and groups(rather than testing at random ) and send them for treatment to arrest the spread of infection from them .
On Sunday the Testing had increased to 33,000. This has resulted in the high Rate of positivity of cases in Chennai . So there is justification in the complete Shut down in Chennai to contain . Now good percentage of people are adhering to norms . But whenever there is a relaxation things go haywire . It is because the announcement is too sudden and the Police, Volunteers and the traders get little time to prepare themselves for the eventuality . This time the Government gave sufficient time of 4 days before shutting down on 19th .

As per the goings - on of case Recordings ,Chennai will definitely need another complete shutdown as the present one with but with more relaxations and stricter enforcements ; but there should be a 3 day gap for people to prepare themselves . Then another shut shutdown for 10 days . But the administration should be well prepared to keep the distancing norms of the public. more

I have given a suggestion as to going further would be beneficial to TN. But No response so far. my suggestion was based on Cause & Effect Theory, which is a paramount tool to sort out any problem. Even a sampling would show some results towards the goal. I have even written the Corona will come to near an ending by sept.20. Let us hope the experts do give some consideration. But their culture is " NO RESPOSE", "NO APPRECIATION" & "NO TRANSPARENCY". OK WITH IT SO LONG THEY SOMEHOW WIN OVER CORONA! more
I am not an expert, so neither I can say increased testing is good or not, however consider the following statistics,as per Google search, if we can rely upon the following info:- As per the estimates of UN World Population Prospects, the Chennai Population in 2020 is 10.9 Million (1.09 Crore). Chennai is fifth largest urban agglomeration city in India and 30th largest city in the World. What does the above population figure mean with respect to increase in number of tests ?? We are talking about 10k tests per day So in next 15 days of lockdown we can test 1.5 lakh , and if you double the rate of testing from 10k to 20k per day the total we can test max is 3.0 lakh samples or persons During lock down the number of cases reported are extremely high and increasing , How is that possible, when lockdown is on, with intense and strict norms, people are at Home, not allowed to venture out and yet there is a spike in cases ?? And we say Stay Safe Stay At Home? Time to instrospect on the Lockdown or unlockdown actions to be taken, do we need to control corona or Let Corona control us.. how long ?? more
If it the testing is done just mathematically , it may take 3 years @ 10k . At today's rate of 33k 1 year .

It's not increased testing alone , but focused testifying. So that the yield of positivity of testing is high .

Find out cases quicker ,trace, treat ,discharge ( increase the immunized ). May be seek plasma for add on treatment for the being treated .

Wishful thinking ,Mathematics is a good base to work on . more
All these are only few steps to identify, treat and track. Ultimately what?we need the Vaccine for prevention, tested and approved by Medical Council and then the regular medicines supply. Both the centre and the states have to work hard and sincerely to achieve this. Let them forget about Elections, seat sharing, who is going to lead, get nominated, who is coming out of Jail, when and what next etc.etc.Let the people of this country be the first priority.May God bless those in power. more
Nicely broughtout information Mr. Daniel. Unfortunately the opposition is sending wrong messages and actions to the poor & uneducated people and people who dont think, playing politics. Any amount of awareness created by the government and experts is going waste, observing the indiscipline & indifferent approach. more
Increasing testing us good However, lockdown or relaxed lockdown, everyone has to follow the three basic norms. And enforcement had to be ruthless. Only this will reduce the spread. more
