Welcome a decision under approval regarding food made optional in Shabdita/Rajdhani and other trains. Food variety needs to widen with inclusion of Continental and fruit based food. more

Passengers throw the garbage haphazardly into the bin without crumpling them. This results in overflowing of the bin within minutes. The bins provided to throw the garbage should have a mechanism to compress the same to reduce its volume. This will help in a long way in having a clean atmosphere more

Referring to Mr. H. Iyer's comment, I have found that in most cases the passengers travelling in coaches put the waste material after they eat in the waste-bins provided in the coaches. However the arrangement for emptying the waste-bin need to be improved. In the absence of this the waste-bins over flow. The bins must be emptied at least twice in a day ; once at about 2.30 - 3.00 PM i.e. after lunch and again at bout 9.30 - 10.00 PM i.e. after dinner. more
