Food startups saying customer cost will increase

many so called good startup chains are saying that the food bill is likely to increase for customers by 8-10 percent. so instead of passing on the 13% to consumer they will increase profitability.

this is absolutely not acceptable. i want to know what is revenue department doing about it. when will we see action. these same restaurants are the ones who impose service charge on consumer. we have social in defence colony who forces service charges on us. i and many of my friends have just stopped going there. others should too. more

Dear Nikita Ji, Even you report nothing will happen , however you can file a complain to collector and lodge a fir in police via post, Why Post if you go personally they will make u understand and send you back . more
We must reject these restaurants! If we know the prices of all dishes during 18% and now 5% GST, it will be helpful to stop going there more
The Revenue department will take a short while to resolve the problem. But you can resolve the problem from Today itself, Dear Lady (Nikita Fernandez), stop going to these restaurants and tell your friends also. more
Nikita ji, have you got the report where the so called good startup chains are saying that the food bill will likely to be increased for customers by 8-10 per cent and that instead of passing on the 13% of the GST to consumer they would increase profitability. If yes, please attach a copy of the same in this LocalCircle. What are the basis for not allowing the reduced GST rate on food items in the restaurants to be passed on to consumers. This reduction in tax rate does not increase the cost of production. The business class is by nature cheats and bluffers, with intents to make the consumer poor. While the Govt would not like to say anything on this aspect of business transactions, the consumers would serve them better by boycotting such restaurants. Word of mouth will do the trick, if consumers could name such restaurants in this LocalCircle. more
These traders don't want to work fairly. They are habituated of making black money more
