With the irritating design making handling of news paper an acrobatic many people straight away put them in raddi even without opening the paper! As a matter of fact only, probably, advertisement students , at the most, could be opening it! The assumption that all news paper buyer would see ads. is totally misplaced! more

Seeing the amount of money these channels make they should be giving the channel at lower cost and i would say if people do not subscribe to those channels then automatically they will be reduced like lot of channels are still free.We need to take it up in this column as a survey more

Dear Babu,you are absolutely correct on the deterioration of the standard of the Indian News Papers..which are minting money from the Advertisers.(Most of the ads.do not tell you the truth about the product)..and our FILM ACTORS are also equally guilty of endorsing any product w/o judging their merits...and our GOVT.do nothing to regulate such business.If you know,any TV serial when you watch on the NET,takes only 20 min.,where as you spend 30 min.when you watch them live on the CABLE TV! We strongly feel,the GOVT.must strictly put restrictions on these unlawful activities.I believe, there is some rules on the TV Broad Casting related to advertising..but in INDIA ANY RULES ARE NOT FOR IMPOSING..but for fooling the CITIZENS.BN DAS.KOLKATA more

The age old concept of "Headlines" is disappearing because of front page advertisements. We used to see different headlines in different news papers at shops. We used to see advertisements in between news ,but now we see news in between advertisements. more

IF YOU TAKE A STOCK OF THE PERCENTAGE OF THE NEWS( FAKE OE OTHERWISE!)IN ANY NEWS PAPER,YOU MAY FIND AD:NEWS SPACE::20:80(A VERY WILD GUESS). FULL PAGE ADS WERE NOT THOUGHT OF COUPLE OF YEARS AGO...BUT NOW A DAYS,IT HAS BECOME A NORM.SIMILARLY,WHEN MY WIFE WATCHES ANY EPISODE OF ANY SERIAL ON THE INTERNET,IT MAY FINISH IN ABT.18 MIN. (INSTEAD OF 30min.)AS THERE IS NO AD.WHY OUR GOVT,BRING SOME REGULATION ON THIS? more

All the newspapers do it and it is up to us to read what we feel is relevant since if one sees any political news each newspaper will publish either in a positive way or negative way the same news so what i do is skip the political stuff and read sports and general events more
