Why this site does not support Hindi in Unicode fonts? It is of utmost importance that we appreciate the significance of making our National language declared in Indian constitution as our Rashtra Bhasha used in not only all official work as a ritual but seriously made applicable for the teaching of all sciences, technology, engineering . It is little realized that all countries that have made phenomenal progress teach all these subjects in their national language . Korea, Japan, France , Germany, Russia all do not depend upon a foreign language such as English to teach and use in their system as a medium of instructions. These nations are very small population wise but have no difficulty in finding technical scientific terminology in their language. This is one excuse put forward by those who want English to continue as medium of instruction for science and technology in India that their are no technical terms in Hindi. Russia raised itself to pinnacle of technology and scince in the world by its own bootstraps despie isolation from western countries, because Russian is the medium of instruction for all subjects there. This is not due to any languga chauvinism, but based on the hard reality that all the population of the country is put in a participative mode when all knowldge is in their national language. In India hardly15% to 20% of the population can be expected to understand knowldge English science and technology knowledge content. Rest of population the skilled workers, technicians etc. are intellectually in nonparticipative mode . The result is 90% of the people are relegated to the levels of poor unskilled masses. This is what theelitist english speaking population and congress have planned for all the times. But common Indian has to be empowered and raised from his utter poverty of thoughts, inferiority complex, ambitions and resources. It is only Indian language print and TV media that educates and brings masses in to participative mode in our country. If entire electioneering and reporting by mediawas to be in English would the Indian masses have risen like one to participate in world's largest democratic process? Coming to large number of regional languages, Chinalike India had hundreds of regionsl tongues. It goes to the wisdom of Mao that Mandarin was established as the one main official Chinese language. I have visited China and seen that all the technical scientific books in China and published by famous western publishers are made available in bilingual editions. One side of the book is in English the opposite page is in English. This will happen in India also if we make Hindi our main language. It was the unfortunate populist weak policies of congress Govt and actions of Nehru who was a 'reluctant Indian -rather a brown englishman' that by his casting vote Hindi was not made the National language, Cow slaughter was not made unlawful and so many other mistakes. Nationa has given the verdict and powers in the hands of NAMO to rectify these historical mistakes to set our nation on the path of glory. more
Thousands of crores of public money has literally gone down the drain in cleaning of rivers such as Ganga Jamuna over the last thirty years. First of all there should be strictly enforced a law that no sewers should allowed to flow in to any rivers at any cost . So called modern 'Sewage Treatment Plants' are a fraud on the nation. 'Black water' meaning there by toilet flush waste should be treated at site like what the Japanese do or the model that Sulabh Shauchalaya has demonstrated very successfully. Even the Chinese have a system to convert most of the human excreta in small biodigesters, utilise the methane gas as alternative fuel in remote communities and slurry for soil remediation. Best system is mangroves, water lagoons. Root Zone treatment as researched by Dr Wolverton of NASA USA in his book" Growing Fresh Water". Incidentally this system is the same as described in Yajurveda mantra à¤à¤ª à¤à¥à¤®à¤¨à¥à¤¨à¥à¤ª वà¥à¤¤à¤¸à¥Sवतर नदà¥à¤·à¥à¤µà¤¾à¥¤ ठà¤à¥à¤¨à¥à¤ªà¤¿à¤¤à¥à¤¤à¤®à¤ªà¤¾à¤®à¤¸à¤¿ मणà¥à¤¡à¥à¤à¤¿ ताà¤à¤¿à¤°à¤¾à¤à¤¹à¤¿à¤¸à¥à¤®à¤ नॠयà¤à¥à¤à¤ पावà¤à¤µà¤°à¥à¤£à¤à¤ शिव à¤à¥à¤§à¤¿ यà¤à¥à¤°à¥à¤µà¥à¤¦ 17.6."Treat the highly polluted water first with marine life such as frogs, turtles etc. then pass it through lagoons having reed family plants, energy crops and then the water is clean enough for irrigation purposes". Modern STPs ( Sewage Treatment Plants depend on electricity for their operation. Most of the time nearly 50% of these plants can not work because of electric power cut, moe than 25% of the time these plants are under breakdow. Therefore hardly 20% of the time these Sewage Treatment Plant work and the result is that 80% of the sewage darains in tio rivers unreated. Grey water - the waste water from kitchen and bathrooms must be recycled for use in flush systems . This system is being implemented by some ITC hotels in India. No good clean water should be allowed to be used in flush system. All this can not happen overnight , but unless local authorities and political leadeship sincerely take up this work our river bodies can never be free of pollution. Our local bodies politicians instead of paying attention to urban waste and sewers going in to rivers have been diverting the attention of public by telling that Industrial waste is the main cause of pollution of our rivers. A visiting US environment expert pointedout to me that the concentration of Indian Industry and its contribution to Indian river pollution is of a much lower level than the huge population excreta that is allowed to flow in to our rivers unchecked. more
