The only differentiating line is that not only our Police department but all Government officials works under the politicians who have become masters over a period of time and they are made puppets of politicians. Some courageous officials have been harassed terribly. This needs to change. more

USA is a mature democracy. India still at its nascent state. Our colonial mind set is quite prevalent in every strata of our life. You cannot compare the two. Our attitude towards life is different then theirs. First of all we will not behave like what the American people has done on the street.Our police will not behave like that on the street the way their police has treated Mr Floyd on the street.Our tolerance and compassion level is very high compared to the west. Small scale yes but not such a large proportion what American people has demonstrated. more

We can not drea of a system like America here. Our system with the masters in the helm will never allow you to function. Let us try and modernise the system in the democratic way if we desire but that is a herculean task. Mera Bharat Mahan. more

Houston Police Chief is a courageous and thoughtful person. Hope the day will come when Indian police works hard to earn the respect of people. There are far too many videos of Indian police harassing poor youngsters and beating them with batons. Our policing is still based on the old structure that the colonists left behind. There is no city that gets to appoint its own police force. more

After being independent from British rule,we call ourself as a democratic state. But it is not so, we are ruled by the democratic monarch- elected by the people only to serve himself and his family and friends and rules the public like a king, where there is no option other than "JI HAZOOR".
