For passengers boarding trains in night
Its good that the doors of trains are locked in nights but it becomes really very difficult for the passengers who board the train late night. Once I almost missed my train in January this year at Nandurbar station when the attendant was fast asleep and I had to scream, shout and beat the door to wake him up. This could happen in Sleeper coach too where no attendants are available.
Either the tickets should not be issued from stations where trains pass after 10:00 pm or one staff should be there to open the door of the coach as per the reservation chart or there must be some system that the doors open automatically. more

Is the door cannot be opened by the people inside the train and also by the people outside the train if it is closed??? Automatic opening is not success in india as for as I know. If doors are to be closed during journey and at tha stations it should be allowed to open by inside or outsiders then that has to be solved by railways. If people leaves the train as doors are closed no reimbursement so it has to be taken care. more

I completely agree with this. All doors should be automatic and can be opened only in stations. more

On duty staff should not sleep in the train. Strict instruction is to be given by Railway Board. If found sleeping they should be punished suitably. Please imagine what will happen if train driver or guard sleeps while on duty. more
