Forced data collection by Govt at Delhi T3

So as feared, forced Digiyatra
seems to be beginning. Today at Delhi T3 they were directing passengers with boarding passes at all boarding gates to get their faces scanned and id's entered even if not registered on Digiyatra. Below is modus operandi and this needs to stop quickly.

They do it very quickly without telling you. This is how:

They've closed off gates and push you towards "volunteers" who ask for boarding pass for entry. They scan it, ask you to look up towards a ATM sized machine. Last step is register id n you're caught in their big bad web!

1. Main gates barricaded.
2. Security and ushers direct people with boarding cards to plain clothes volunteers standing behind a white ATM sized machine which has its back towards you.
3. She asks for boarding card for scanning and then asks you to look up towards the machine

4. Before you know, you see yourself been scanned.
5. Then you're sent to another counter where some security guy records your ID.
6. Then they send you to digiYatra machine to put boarding pass again and enter airport.
7. Husband never carries Aadhaar and they didn't insist for it.

1. You're ushered towards this white ATM sized machine, which has its back towards you as you approach it.
2. You're asked for boarding pass scanning, and then asked to look up quickly
3. Before you know what's happening here, you're scanned and conned!!
4. The guy who asks n records ID is in khaki.
5. Aadhaar was not insisted upon. But i guess that's coming next.
6. Lastly you're directed to digiYatra lane for entering airport. more

Airline boarding through face recognition has been introduced in pretty much all western advanced countries, especially in the US where one does not need a paper or digital boarding pass any more. Ruchika ma'am, what you have described above as "invasion of privacy", is the latest name of the game. You are being tracked by your phone at every step of the way, and there is no escaping from it. If you are so concerned about the breach of privacy then throw away your smart phone, communicate via snail mail (postal mail) and travel by a bullock-cart all the time. more
I am reminded of the movie The Net (Ms Sandra Bullock, 1995). If the computer is hacked or malfunctions, your existence itself may become questionable. While the systems work fine, they help to make things easy, but if they fail, results can be devastating. more
This is part of the policy disclosed by Wikileaks which states that full control of the population can only be achieved when everything is linked. How much money you have (aadhar-banks) to what you buy, eat or wear or spend on medicines or entertainment or education etc. (mobile-aadhar-payment gateways) to travel. You name it and every single data point is captured. Even the display of the Tiranga on Independence day was a data collection exercise, the largest in the world. No wonder that today we spy more on our citizens than China or Russia (Some states have more cameras on the roads that Beijing or Moscow has). Look it up. And the narrative must be controlled, and what comes out must only be in favour. If any questions on accountability are raised, you are an anti national. So the largest requests for internet post takedowns in the world, the largest number of internet shutdowns in the world...Orwellian 1984. Big brother. more
My dear friend, my earlier response seems to have been deleted, so posting this again. Your assessment of my personality is interesting and I respect your opinion. However, the statement made by me wasn't made lightly. In my profession, I have access to data outside the public domain, and for a long time now, I have been seeing bits and pieces of such events linking up and connecting into a larger framework. My assessment is based purely on facts and data and is not subjective. My suggestion is, if you really care, do go through the data outlined by me above, start connecting the dots and then we can have a civilised discussion. Just to get you going, I am sure you are not even aware that you cannot file a court case in any court in India for the misuse of your Aadhaar, your pehchan, since as an entity it is based in Singapore, with ex CIA directors on board? Please educate yourself. more
Absolute nonsense. Whats the problem if identification is made better? This s now used all over the world. Are people trying to hide themelves? more
It is nonsense because people are not being told what the govt is doing and why. And what if the data is misused. There is no easy resolution mechanism for citizens if it is misused.
Just out of curiosity, has the data of all politicians and their associates been collected ? more
This is used now where in the world which links everything that you do to a central database which resides outside the country. Get your facts right. more
