Fortunately , for us, howsoever bad things may be, no body of any consequence publicly condones corruption. There perpetual stance is-'You report corruption, we will take stern action.' What defies logic is that , anyone with open eyes can see corrupt dealings, day in and day out. where, therefore, is a need for a report to get generated for taking action.
I have a simple question and I wish people to respond on the query made below.
Is there any State in India, where:
1. Electric meter is installed without extra payment.
2. Where getting work done in local RTO is easy, convenient and possible.
3. Where property tax is assessed in a proper manner without demands being made.
4. Where any document can be registered in the Registrar office, without extra payments.
5. Getting a copy from kuchery conveniently and without payments, not prescribed in any rule book.
I think, these daily irritants are more injurious than the huge scams, i.e. coal, 3G, Augusta etc. These are deleterious since they corrupt the entire generation. Moreover, none would report these, since these are not treated as corrupt practices but only laid down routine. more

The problem lies in accountability IMO. Suppose even if a time frame for a service is fixed. Even then the people responsible for delivery of such service can go on beyond that time frame to force you to pay for work done. Blaming the general people for paying for work to be done is easy but honestly how long can someone go without it. It is a innate traint of a human to do what is convenient isn't it? more
I have taken new electric meter from EB without paying a single paisa. Actually, the TNEB officials demanded kickback from me too for the installation as they do with any other. But i firmly denied and warned them of severe action against them if they insist on it. Finally they had to bow down and even with RTO i did the same. In fact initially the officials including RTO were reluctant to give me the required information for a process, indirectly pressurizing me to approach their agent and pay him heavy amount so that they can be benefited. but i fired them like anything and got the work done. So, if the public become aware of their rights and responsibilities and be assertive with courage not to yield to any pressure, then i think we can wipe out corruption from Indian society. We should come out from our primitive mindset of adoring Government servants treating them as someone above law with unlimited authority more
The word corruption modified as a TIPS ,( token in payment of service) , so corruption is good phenomena for the growth of developing country like India. Any work being done by the staff, in good manner within the time frame, the word corruption may be implement to him. The cost for performing the work without corruption is more than the corruption. more
Corruption has spread his wings through out the length & breadth of the country. Why do expect something extra ordinary. more
No i have taken electric meter without paying single penny. Fight some of ur cases and teach lessons to these culprits. Once ur name become popular among these corrupt people they will automatically solve ur problems. more
