Subject: Fraudulent transactions on credit cards
Hi,
I have two credit cards with the following numbers:
· 4375 XXXX XXXX2004
· 4629 XXXX XXXX6014
However, today I became a victim of phishing. A person called me up from the no. (9651380717 and 7080883519) and introduced himself as Mr Ravi Pandey, an ICICI employee. He also confirmed my Name, registered mobile no and Date of Birth as per bank’s record. Further, he informed that I had made an over payment of Rs 7000/- to one of my cards and he needs my card details for transferring back that over payment amount. He collected the CVV numbers as well as OTPs generated from me over the phone.
However, after a while I got several SMS to my mobile for various transactions. All of them were mobile bill payment of Airtel.
Four fraudulent transactions were made on the card (4629 XXXX XXXX 6014) of total amount of Rs. 6,500/- and four more fraudulent transactions were made on the card (4375 XXXX XXXX 2004) of total amount of Rs. 6,500/-. All the transactions were dated today.
Consequently, I called up ICICI phone banking customer care and logged a complaint (SRxxxxxxxx) around 3:00 PM today (9th Apr, 2015).
It is requested to kindly cancel both the cards and stop payment and revert back all the eight fraudulent transactions mentioned above.
