Can people share their views of the courteousness if nursing, reception and other staff at various hospitals of gurgaon? more

Max Hospital Sushant Lok, Gurgaon has friendly & courteous staff (at the nurse level). However, if you want to know about the progress of the patient, the doctors, who keep changing, dodge from any answers. Another great thing about Max is the bills, which are huge. more

If you are looking for what some of us term "5 Star" spots for Healthcare, then i desist, saying more ! I have experience with Fortis Gurgaon. The staff, starting from security to reception, nurses, everyone was very courteous. They seem to have been well coached. It is another matter that the attending Doctor made me go through a huge number of unnecessary, expensive tests before pronouncing that I had 2nd stage cancer. That I needed immediate surgery, followed by chemotherapy, and that I would be with a catheter for the rest of my life. The opinion and diagnosis was completely wrong. A friend, who is the HoD of Oncology at King George Medical, Lucknow (a Govt hospital) called it rubbish & nonsense, and referred me to his friend, Dr Brij Agarwal at Gangaram. Dr Brij reiterated what Dr Arshad Ahmad had said. He did the surgery, and said "all clear" after that. Instead of chemo & catheter, he advised me to build heath by walking, running, cycling, climbing stairs, doing aerobics and strength workouts. The level of politeness is Gangaram was much lower. But the nurses and all other staff were super efficient and effective. Incidentally, Dr Brij or Gangaram Hospital did not ask me to repeat any of the tests already done. The fleshy growth was in the rectum area, the Fortis doctor made me go through skeleton tests, brain tests, and lots more. They have targets for it, and get commissions on it. more

I have undergone knee replacement at Fortis Memorial Gurgaon about six months back & was extremely satisfied with the pre & post surgery at this hospital. Surgeon Dr JBS Jaggi who performed the surgery was well experienced and of a friendly & couteous nature. After care staff nurses & housekeeping too were very attentive. Only minus point about this hospital is its expensive both in surgical charges & stay,as compared to others doing the same surgery. For example a room In the adjoining Taj Vivanta is cheaper than a single room in this hospital. more
