FSSAI action on junk food labeling

Not just action against errant spice manufacturers, our circle and LC manager efforts have led to another action yesterday where all junk food packaging has to have nutritional information in bold letters.
Couple of years ago we had demanded RED label on junk food which they have not implemented but something is better than nothing.
Clearly a hats off to all LC members and Mr. Sachin Taparia who raised this issue in many forums.

did any Indian Lab. Find any Objectionable material composition in Spices , pickles ? Or Just believing west Propaganda ? The Spices are made from Local grown harvest by Drying & Grinding. It Dosen't contain or there is No chance to add any chemicals because they are all in powder form. It is fake Propaganda against India. In fact west manufactures sealed bottles drinks & brewrages contain ethylene Dioxide as anti freezing agents & stabilizer. ANOTHER don't depend on Govt. as a Educated citizen you can stop it just boycotting the products. more

All this is as bad as skull and cross bones on a cigarette packet. Is this seriously an effort to curb the sale of sub-standard or dangerous items? Increasing taxes and putting disclaimers or list of constituents will not help the hapless majority who will continue to buy such procudts. We need proactive administrative action against sub-standard and unsafe products. more

Also if we find any govt official ftaking bribes and helping, ostracize them from society. Punish physically by mobs. more

Those errant manufacturers and supplier must be booked and punished sent to jail etc. No mercy. Strict actions required. more
