Presence of Ministers and Prime Ministers ( elected representatives of the people) on social media is fine but engagement of bureaucrats cannot be possible. Why? Representatives of people are elected for 5 years while a bureaucrat once selected and appointed only retires on attaining the retirement age. Till then, the bureaucrat is responsible for whatever s/he writes in social media. No action is taken for tweets by the ministers but action is immediately taken by the seniors and comment of a bureaucrat is highly blown up by electronic or print media. Hence, the bureaucrats are always under threat of being caught for their words. Who bothers the Ministers or other representatives of people? more

Public has nothing to do with FSSAI, a ruling by the Govt. is necessary since in their eyes the public interest is more important than bookish decisions. GM modified items are an open threat to public health & need to be banned. more
