Fssai has outdated thinking

Fssai says Consumers that find food adulteration can take a sample of the food & get it tested at FSSAI labs. If the food sample is found to be unsafe, the cost of the testing is reimbursed to the consumer.

FSSAI - can you go beyond your traditional outdated thinking.

The way it needs to work is I
Am a consumer food is adulterated, I call a number, someone comes to me, takes the sample gives me a sms status of where it stands.

If the complaint is frivolous, you blacklist my number.

No one in the world has the time to go to your labs pay and file reimbursements. more

Let the FSSAI take note of the feelings of the customer and let the testing if any be done by the authorities, without tagging in the customer. more
Dear Manju: IF U EXPECT FSSAI PEOPLE TO BE SO PRO ACTIVE, YOU ARE ASKING FOR THE MOON..!!.. SO LONG AS THESE FAT BELLIED OFFICERS ARE GETTING THEIR SALARIES, THEY ARE CONTENT AND IN A WORLD OF THEIR OWN. FSSAI OFFICERS SHOULD IDEALLY HAVE A TARGET OF CATCHING A CERTAIN NUMBER OF FOOD ADULTERATORS AND IMPOSE HEAVY FINES ON THEM FOR THEIR DISCRETION.A PERCENTAGE OF THOSE FINES SHOULD BE PART OF THEIR SALARIES AS INCENTIVE. THEN IT MAY MOVE THEM FROM THEIR A/C OFFICES...!!!... more
The so-called white collar inspectors are all involved one way or the other. I do not want to name any company or brand but I know it is a common menace. I gave some complaints regarding some sweets bought 3 years back and was shocked to learn that I was told that my body had become allergic to some sweets where as I could eat more of that sweet from another maker. Shocked at hearing it I decided not to buy anything from that shop as well as that brand and told all the people I knew to stay away from both. I thought to myself that any company/brand always wants to grow and word of mouth is the best form of publicity so saying that I ensured that no other person I know has to suffer the pain and hospital expense I had to dish out.. more
Coming to you is not a good idea. You should be able to go somewhere and give the sample. That is more workable. The cost of making sample collectors go all over will make any company unviable. more
Good idea!. Has the FSSAI resources to reach all parts of India? If not, let us have more labs near homes. With regards -- M P Gupta Tel: 9111-2725-1026, 91-9810781025 On Thursday 28 December 2017, 9:11:46 PM IST, Manju Patel wrote: more
