Fssai rules should reduce use of preservatives

FSSAI rules should be such that they reduce use of unhealthy preservatives in foods. Unfortunately thats not the case. For instanxe look at Kissan Mixed Fruit Jam contents:
Sugar
Mixed Pulp Fruit Blend (46%)
Thickener – 440 (Pectin)
Acidity Regulator – 330 (citric acid)
Preservative 202 (Pottasium Sorbate)
Synthetic food color – 122 (Azorubine/Carmoisine)
Artificial Flavors – Raspberry, Pineapple and Strawberry
Preservatives, artificial colors, artificial flavors

It is really not needed. Will FSSAI pla take this on. Please share your views all more

Can't we keep away from consuming these kind of products if we are really concerned of our health? I afraid, without preservative if a bottle of fruit jam is kept for six months or so, it will definitely be infested by lacs of worm like insects. If the jam is its original colour and without flavour, even you yourself may not prefer to purchase it. more
Potassium Sorbate as Preservative is considered as SAFE if used within prescribed limits and same case for the other permitted preservatives. The only problem with FSSAI that quantity of preservative that it is not analysed at some of Laboratories more
Yes, FSSAI rules should be such that they reduce use of unhealthy preservatives in foods. more
Whether all are aware or not, all deep fried products are with palm oil. After repeated frying, the oil becomes very black thick slurry. This thick waste oil is not removed, whereas ,fresh oils added into the frying pan containing thick waste oil. This process of frying is forming layers in stomach viz: lever, industain walls. Over a period , the formed layer of fat, reduces the free flowing pipe ,thus, constipation, passing blood etc. occurs, because, the fried product contains more carbonized residue, which is carcinogen. One can easily test this fact at home. Take a fried product piece and burn it in a lamp, black smoke emission .this contaminated food causes formation of food pipe, lungs congestion, indigestion, acidity, constipation and finally piles. Respective authorities to strictly impose and adhere preventive steps and save valuable human life. more
Yes. Preservatives, added sugars, colouring agents all have a lot of negative health consequences. FSSAI should give priority to the health effects of the products; it is understandable that companies are there for profit and people want high quality products but at affordable prices. more
