Every State govt. should have its DM force for quick response. Central assistance be taken if the situation is likely to be grim.

Disaster management has considerably improved in the recent years in many states in India who have aimed for zero casualty. But then those states which are more prone to natural calamities should have relief structures readily available with all amenities as soon as the prediction of disasters looms large.

Even though the metrological department forecast the climatical status, creation of this ZONAL / DISTRICT Disaster Management office can able to program the action plan in a pro active manner rather than reactive where the team lands post declaration of people stranded. Nice idea and most welcome to get implemented.
