Ganesha Pandals permitted - bad decision
Karnataka govt gives in to pressure from organisations. Allows public Ganesha pandals. It had earlier said no public gatherings would be allowed.

While there are do's and dont's mentioned, there is no mention of who is responsible and accountable for monitoring the norms and what if someone flouts the norms. Typical govt rules without any thought on practicalities and implementation. And not sure how the height of the Lord could be a criteria for the installation? more

Public pandals should not have been permitted. Even public functions within the club areas of apartments/hostels/etc should be banned. Main clusters of covid are in apartments and hostels. more

It is a catch 22 situation for the Karnataka Government. If Ganesha pandals not allowed, they would be branded anti Hindu and if there is a spurt in the Covid 19 cases because of the festival then also the Government will be blamed of not being strict. So it is only the people who have to be cautious and take all the precautions more
