Gas agencies

Whenever you apply for a new gas connection they will always force you to buy the gas stove with it even if you don't need and have one at home or else they will not give you the connection and they charge Double the price compared to market. Moreover if you will Show them the law and tell them that as per law if you have a ISI Marked stove at home you don't need to buy them then they will unnecessarily delay the process And will ask you to come again and again And harass You a lot because of which you will be forced to take the oven to avoid Such harassment as we are all working and don't have that much of time To go again and again and give so much of time for something which you need on an urgent basis. We would rather prefer to spend money than to waste time arguing and quarrelling with such corrupted people. There should be a ban on the agencies to provide gas stoves. more

Pressure tactics by Gas agencies. more
I too had a similar experience with gas agency when I tried to transfer the connection from my father to self. They asked me to pay new security deposit (guess some Rs. 4000). I made a complaint in pgportal.gov.in and it got resolved. Use this website for speedy resolution. The complaint directly goes to their Head office and it will get immediate attention and resolution. more
Put up an on line complaint to Area Manager of the gas agency. That is the solution. more
You can lodge written complaint to the Principal Agency i.e. B.P./HP I am sure there is way for relief. It can be made "On Line" also. more
