Excellent work LocalCircles in communicating all issue to consumer afffairs and it getting converted into law. However unlesss u stay on top of it enforcement will fail. more  

Its a welcome move to bring rules for ecommerce platforms. However, I have the following comments: The onus of labelling compliance or product compliance belongs to the ecommerce platform or the seller? This is not clear in rules. For example, oximeter sales have gone up, I have noticed a lot of sellers trying to sell fake products claiming various design quality certifications of FDA, CE etc. country of origin etc. On checking medical directory of FDA, ,majority of them is not listed and turned out to be fake. These are all crucial 'over the counter' medical devices which can avert a major heath crisis. Onus on ecommerce platform in such situations can avoid fake products to a great extent. Often consumer do not make purchase looking at the seller profile but the brand value of the ecommerce website only. more
