General Elections 2019
With the General Elections round the corner in 2019, political parties like always, will come up with promises and jhumlas that they never intend to deliver. It is us, the gullible citizens who fall for such false promises and vote knowing very well that no promises will be delivered. It is all just to reach the seat of power and make money by hook or by crook.
We as citizens should take it up with the Election Commission and the Government of India that if the political party or the individual who has won the elections does not fulfil at least 70 to 80% of its promises as given in their manifesto, the said political party or individual will not be allowed to run for elections for the next term.
This is the right time to start a petition which I request someone from the legal fraternity to start one, and force the government to deliver what it promises in its poll manifestos.
This will bring an end to certain promises, which the poor and uneducated fall for. Like what our honoured Prime Minister had promised during the last elections to deposit Rs 15 lakhs in the account or each citizen, or bringing back the black money from abroad.
This should be for all national, state and local elections. more
