Generic Drugs
What is the efficacy of generic drugs. I used to take Vildagliptin ( for diabetes) from an unknown manufacturer. My sugar was not in control. Now I am taking the same drug from a known manufacturer. The price differential is substantial but my sugar levels are in control. The question is is there any quality control on generic drugs? more

On many occasions it is observed that duplicate medicines of some of the brand are sold in the market, which does not work effectively. The drug inspectors are expected to examine such duplicate materials and take action. But what such government officials are doing, everyone knows. more

I don't know which company's Vildagliptin you take. However, I also take a combination of Vildagliptin and Metmorphin which works fine! It's from "Healing Pharma" and sold under the name "Vildasmart M". more

I too had similar experience and the GOI must ensure that the scheme launched by them should not be smeared by lack of confidence in generic drugs . more

Praveenji, The unfamiliar generic medicine purchased by you,may have the name and address of manufacturer. If you still have that medicine strip with you, expose in this group. You may write to FDA, MEFICAL COUNCIL, HEALTH MINISTRY by registered A.D letter and bring the manufacturer to surface. As suggested by Mr. Jagannath Rao to implement naturopathy. If you can daily perform SURYANAMASKAR 12 times and 15btimes MANDOOKASAN. Performing these two asanas strictly, the metabolism ,digestive power, clearance of bowel will be extremely good . Due to inadequate generation of insuline, digestive power reduces, thus function of lever becomes weak. Avoid all deep fried foods, eat more fiber food and as long as possible eat at fix time and give importance to sleep. more
