Generic medicine for diabetes

Branded medicine for diabetes are very expensive. i buy generic drugs from "Jan Aushadhi Stores" a government initiative (www.janaushadhi.gov.in). These generic medicines are made in large approved manufacturing plants. For example I buy 'Metformin Hydrochloride - 500 mg' tablets for Rs. 0.50 per tablet and 'Glimperide - 1 mg' tablets for Rs. 0.80 per tablet. These are manufactured by Indian Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (a government company) and find the as effective as any branded tablet. more

Can we really trust medicine bought at Bhagirath Place. It is notorious for fake and spurious products. more
