The root cause of cancer in India esp near mestros where more than 300% increase is being noticed in the last few years at the major hospitals - are due to engg disposal issues of electronic waste in this country. The govt including the one of Mr.Modi is indiffernt to it. I have posted to the PM's e-post in this electronic media. No use. The electronics world in all its gadgets make use of Printed circuit boards - whether a mobile, a hand held device or a Computer, laptop etc etc. The PCB's are manufactured with a no.of chemical treatments that have carcinogenic content. When newer models are promoted in our markets, we go to throw the old ones - which land up in the earthfills, without suitable e-waste disposal procedures outside and go to damage the water, soil and food chains. I am also told that pesticides and insecticides go to add to this in our environment. The govt has no interest in saving its earning and tax paying population in metros, than in collecting taxes for cleaning up. God needs to save this country. I am frustated as a scientist working in a premier organisation of this country to feel that we are just big mouthed with words and no action at field level. We are responsible for the making of this unrelenting political class. Ameen. more

Mammography of every female after 33 years of age should be done free of cost by all medical institutions regularly on year to year basis to detect and prevent / cure the cancer at the earliest possible. Likewise, ultrasound of every female should be done free of cost by all medical institutions after the age of 45 years to detect fibroids / risoli to avoid removal of breasts, uterus, ovary etc. and recurrence of the same as the delays can result in to developing cancer in chest, uterus and ovary etc. more

I am a breast cancer survivor ,so I always advice my near blood relations to go for mamo graphy after 33 years of age to rule outthe possibility. None of my family members had cancer .After that I started taking natural foods and I have survived for 25 years . more

One needs to go for counseling before embarking on this genetic test as it is not only costly but can also can have a great psychological effect on the person. Doubts come into the mind if the test turns out to be positive. one cannot live with the fear and the domiciles sword hangs on his head. Guidance is needed by a trained counsellor who will go deep into the family history and come with a verdict. more
