This is perhaps a natural dissaster, scientists may initiate the process to identify the reasons. It is better to advise to take precautionary measures at the earliest possible to save human life. People may speak on such issue at length without having much understanding. I had experienced such environment in Punjab in post summer ocassionally. As I recall, It was usually a dust fly from dessert to plain land. more
Though I live in Delhi (of course cursing my self for that), I am happy that this is happening in the Capital City where top authorities live, including the highest of the legal courts. So sooner or later some one capable and concerned will act. I do not understand why elected authorities and concerned officers do not take proper and timely action, knowledge would not be lacking or simply follow a good country. Inspite of pollution happening over years, is there a clarity to what extent of pollution is created by what :vehicles (trucks, buses, cars, 2/3 wheelers, and between them by fuel diesel/petrol), power generating plants/equipments, construction activities, road side cooking, waste burning, crop remains burning, animals, etc etc. Even Delhi Govt or other agencies can not authentically say how much (%) air quality will improve just by introducing ODD/EVEN rule. Rules on commercial vehicle plying within the city are hardly ensured. Can any body guarantee that farmers will stop burning of crops remains unless they are provided alternatives at their locations by government?. Most of the public by themselves are helping like quitting smoking in open areas. Provide means and public will adhere for their own good. more
govt. is there to make policies. they may be busy in board rooms, tv shows, etc. but what about the general public. Lack is not only there (corrupt politicians) part but we (public) are more responsible for this situation. Still, if we will not awake , more worsen days will be ahead. Public must take the responsibility stop using polluted vehicles, construction site must be covered, etc. more
yes, no efforts from Govt side either Delhi or Central more
Save Environment Save lives---Why more cars?#DeathByBreath Stop cars in cities to Reduce Pollution/Congestion. Replace Cars by GPS Electric Pods https://www.facebook.com/Global-Goal-No13-A-solution-for-City-Pollution-The-Smart-City-147941658897870/ more
Do not we feel these could be over presentation by some vested interest organizations. But yes we must teach people to perform Havan daily and plant trees, at least one by each one. Ultimately we can best help overselves and this earth. more
Is everybody ready to give up their cars and use Bus/Metro/walk in everyday life, I am willing to do the same to save humanity. Mr M K Gandhi taught us to give up /boycott to achieve your demands. If there is no demands for cars , one day it will vanish. more
Central Government has to weakeup or God do Something. No other alternative. more
