Ghaziabad Development Authority issues notice to 30 real estate firms
I hope strict action is taken and it doesnt end up being the corrupt nexus of Builders-GDA that things are settled by paying.
Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has issued notices to over 30 realty firms. GDA has asked developers to submit a declaration in which they have to explain details of their projects, including plot size, number of floors and flats to be constructed, land title, facilities to be offered, etc.
The authority will later crosscheck the details and examine whether construction is going on as per necessary approvals or not.
GDA officer on special duty, DP Singh, said so far over 150 projects are being constructed in Ghaziabad, out of which 55 are in Indirapuram. "We have also issued public notices. If developers do not comply with the order then an FIR will be lodged. The Authority can take such action under Section 25(2) of UP Apartment Act," Singh said.
"Once we will get all the details, we will examine the facts and reveal defaulting developers. This information will be useful to buyers so they can check the legal and technical status of projects before investing their money," said another senior GDA official.
Fed up with the callous attitude of developers and officials of the authorities, a few residents had moved Allahabad high court for relief. The court cracked down heavily on accused developers and authorities and directed them to ensure proper implementation of the Act, which is meant to protect the interest of homebuyers.
As per the UP Apartment Act, developers have to share details of their projects within one month of approval of their building plans so that buyers are not misguided and deprived of their rights. more

yes its sound good, but this nexus so strong if any officer try to crack it, he will through out . Nothing will happen in this system untill a big revolution. Present system completely rotten if you wan to fix it this is weastage of time we need to replace it. more

yes the step is good in favor of the public and the outlook of the societies will definitely start glowing if all these measures are always active. other it was a fashion that any company comes and starts building little nest type accommodation and charged money of their favorable value. and become big shots in few months if such one project is completed. The welfare of human being is having no precedence in views of such bhoomafias .As when they show the plan they show the big parks this and that but when practical the things come-up we find nothing such .This is the meek and the selfish mentality of the Builders, otherwise if you provide quality of projects with keeping society as a whole in the motto and human service as priority i am sure the such builders will only keep flourishing. lets be attentive and may these things improve in near future at least.
