Give some relief on services

I have started liking the GST since the last 2 rate cuts by Government but one area where relief is badly badly needed is Services. We get taxed at 18% for services. Hair cut, catering, movies, ac maintenance and many many others and as a result 90% of the services face tax evasion. no one wants to bill with gst number other than organised players, rest is still in cash.

Keep a nominal tax say 5% on services without any input tax credit. Some brain strumming needed to conform tax collected is submitted to the Government. more

There should be no tax on basic everyday services like banking, insurance, hair cuts etc. Keep a nominal tax say 5% on other services without any input credit tax. To ensure compliance keep exemptions down to minimum and make penalties for non billing really high. Let there be a social media campaign where public is asked to say no to buying without bills. Every shokeeper, service centre must madatorily give a bill for any good or service sold . more
