Glad to see awareness plus Palmolive profiteering

I am thrilled to see profiteering awareness via this circle and folks like Garima sharing so many examples. Yesterday only I was in market and asked the local grocery store owner if mrps had reduced since GST and the answer was big NO. Here in attached colgate palmolive profiteering. The MRP of product in feb 2017 was 190. Today in oct 2018 its still 190. gst reduced by 10% in nov 2017 so MRP shd have been 170 or so.

We must focus on MRP. Selling price can be 1 rupee if someone is closing business. Pls book Colgate Palmolive NAPA. more

My suggestion is the rate of GST should be written near the MRP, so that the manufacturers can not do profiteering. more
The government should immediately issue appropriate notification to all the manufacturers/traders to bring down the prices of their products by passing on the benefits of tax reduction to the consumers followed by stern action against the defaulters. more
One of the seller told me that, few companies reduced their price (MRP) for few batches of the delivery. After that they will print MRP as previous. more
Time has proved that any government and the reduction in taxes can't reduce the prices. The basic principle of economics, It's only reduction in demand reduces the price. If we consume less the prices will fall. more
People serving in the government are their all around us. So if they see something happening against their rules they should immediately alert the concerned and correct the issue. Unless thease guys are alert 24/7 things will not improve in this country. Since they are more informed and near to the government than a common private citizen. Hope the concerned are listening. Put the nation first. more
