GOA will become AGO. Once upon a time thousand years ago a place called Goa was there. more
Reckoning the pandemic situation and the spread of new mutant virus, Goa government must have imposed night curfew on the New Year eve. Indian government is trying to arrest the spread by advising state governments to implement and follow the protocols. Though BJP run Goa government failed to do so for want of revenue. So revenue has edged out the threat to human life. PM must take Goa CM to task and set an example for others. more
Wearing mask and maintaining social distancing is mandatory not optional. more
Because of bad roads many accidents happen and many people die.So till such time roads are repaired properly, no vechicles should be sold. Or, allowed to be sold and used wherever roads are Good.ok. more
People linked with tourism industry cannot be allowed to go jobless and starve. That is why everything is open in Goa and in fact the country should never have been shut down in the first place. There are millions of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens that infect human beings. There are million others that are mutating and becoming drug resistant. Normal life cannot be stopped just because of pathogen infections. The idea of shutdown or lockdown given by the WHO and being followed by government of India is absolutely wrong. Focusing on testing, treatment and educating people about precautions is enough. In fact, why the WHO declared this infection as a pandemic and why did it recommend total lockdown should be a matter of high level enquiry. Local Circles members are mostly well off people but think about those who have lost jobs and are surviving by begging other people for money and food. How many have died of starvation due to this so-called pandemic will never ever be known. At least come out of your well fed bubble and look outside. You will realize that the decision to lockdown everything was wrong. more
Lockdown was for preparing medical infrastructure and training man power for pandemic, with due respect to Mr Achintya , please don't make a nasty statement. If there were casualties due to lockdown then it's really tragic bit at the same time unavoidable, as it is with any pandemic and mega scale rescue operation. In pandemic there are multi disciplinary actions are required to curb the disease and minimise the loss of lives with economics, lockdown was one of it. It's knwon fact that due to lockdown India has handled pandemic with excellence in spite of limited resources. One fact we have to keep your mind as pandemic continues for longtime so are the measures. It's easy to sit in comfort of home and criticise what has been done rather coming with solutions. more
Lockdown is the past. The least these party goers could have done was to wear masks and have at least sone distancing. This will no hit the tourism industry.👿 more
