God Save Taxpayers
The ordeal of GST return filing is turning out to be a deadly torture. Even after six months post GST roll out, issues surrounding GST are far from over. The hype created during the inaugural ceremony seems to be a splendid bluff. Its a colossal waste of taxpayers' hard earned money. Starting from tax classification to tax rate confusion, the roller-coaster ride is yet to come to an end. A very poor reflection of Government's inept efforts. The Tax department's response continues to be pathetic and worse than the problems faced. Extremely ill-trained and brainless brats handle customer complaints. Don't know on what basis the Government is claiming that we are fully into digital world when the ground reality is we are still dizzy and struggling to set right the half-baked tax reforms. I feel GST is nothing but ''God Save Taxpayers''. more

We've been discussing various issues and highlighting various anomalies related to all the schemes but get to here only gloomy pictures about them and nothing concrete has ever been done in these 3 years, instead what I see at ground level is just the reverse Bharat is not getting swatch, more and more persons are getting recruited for it but they enter their attendance in the morning and work someplace else one such person is working in my society, I highlighted this in these forums several times but with no remedy. more

Is filing return ssoo complicated as it is made out? In our days we filled 6-8 page tax return even for personal income tax. Trouble appears more daunting as manipulation has become difficult. I asked my corner store about filing return but he was amazed that such a question is being asked as he is quite comfortable. more

Sir, pls check with others also. Your corner store's person may be filing a nil tax return....... Im just guessing and nothing beyond it.
The truth is quite frequently GSTN site goes down, especially during night time... This happens without any prior notice. One may ask so what, its only night time.. but the real problem is every time GSTN goes down, companies who file their returns thru GSP tool, have to reauthenticate their access validity otherwise they will be denied GSP access. Companies with large volumes of data are silently suffering. If everything is working fine, why would the Government keep extending the deadline for submission. Im not against GST regime but cannot accept poor implementation of GST system. Despite nearly 2 decades of efforts of bureaucrats/intellectuals/think tank, etc, a hotch-potch GST system has been rolled out.
What stopped the Government from introducing a 15% or 18% single GST rate to start with. It would have made life easier for all the honest tax payers. Heaven won't fall on them if the tax classification and tax rate brackets are expanded six months down the line.
What I gather now is that Government is breaking its head to simplify the return filing process. more

During Narendra Modi Govt. most of us get various sensational initiative e.g.1- Demonitization-After a year people now collected new currency through illegal means.2- GST- more then 80% transction without bills.3- Smart cities- Hardly any one see the progress even 5% 4- Namami Ganga- No body knows how to start.5- DBT- Except Gas no other subsidy routed fully , this Govt. also enlarged the base of societies for huge draining, even in U.P. Societies are taking benifits of 1000 & above in some cases for more then 10000 member earning crores in a month.6- Employment Generation- only in paper & like wise big list, but definitely the expanded area is advertisement. more

States shall be mandated to maintain GST categorized Taxing List at all Govt. Offices, Private Shops, Business Houses and, bring in knowledge of Returns computation more

GST is no doubt a very wonderful tax reform measure. However , at present with all the confusions and very poor implementation it looks very pathetic. more
