I was hopeful that an IIT graduate would perform the duties of management and governance with finesse. I am myself an IIT graduate and had high hopes from a member of my fraternity, but was disappointed with the way he went about the task of governance. I agree with Dr. Shashi. There have been so many Godhras in India in various states, but no one has banned the CM or the party the way it has been done with Modi & BJP. And for others there have been no so many cases and investigations too !!! Are there investigations going on for the latest Muzaffarnagar ? And has Akhilesh been banned or derogated for the same ? What about the preferential compensations announced by UP, which had to be withdrawn ? Have they been accused and put on the pedestal as accused or at least an inquiry set up? All said and done, it would be of no use to argue at our stage since we do not have all the facts, and are speaking from the heart or superficially. All said and done, Delhi was in a mess during the last 49 days, so to say. All that was done was news. And everyone knows that no good news is news, only bad news is news. If someone has saved a woman from being assaulted, the same is a small back page news if at all it is one, but the brutal behavior with anyone is front page news. Taking this as the cue, I would say these 49 days were full of news, day in and day out. Everyone would know what these days brought - good or bad. His resignation is a sigh of relief for the Delhi people. What was done by the LG in helping the admissions of children was the best thing that has happened to Delhi to assuage the problems of the common man during this period of the year. What did AAP govt do for this ? and for that matter the efforts to take care of the homeless were there but still not consistent with the requirement as people still died. They should have been complete, and far beyond the requirements, whereas they obviously fell short of the requirements. Was it just to show that they are doing or to really assuage the problems of the common man. Power, water are executive orders of expenditure, which have not been budgeted, as they ran away before presenting the budget !!! more
