GOOD MOVE, BUT MAKE SURE TO ALLOW ONLY LEGITIMATE SENDERS , RECIEVERS OF PASSENGERS IN:

The prices of PlatForm tickets were increaded during Pandemic to restricct the crowd ; it was increased to Rs. 30 and even Rs.50 in some stations.Good it is reverted back to Rs. 10/ .It will be very useful for the ones who need to be taken care of in the stations.

Earlier we have been witnessing many unautherised walking in where the entrance is not at all manned due to shortage of staff or other reasons.

Railways should b evry strict on allowing only autherisedpeople in. It is okay Railway people using it as their privilege.

But all and sundry walking in who are the ones causing theft in the platforms and compartments. Hope that will be taken care of at the Gate. more

There has been very Good ideas in this post, worth considering by the Railways. If Railways is not able to control the Unautherized crowd entering the Station Platforms, the last straw should be Several Transtiles should be installed as suggested by Mr. Thirunarayanan. more
Wonder whether turnstiles will work given our penchant for mobbing public places. It is equally true that the entry/ exit points are both insecure and improperly manned but even manning all the time is impracticable. Rigorous checking by contract checkers may be the solution. It will create employment as well as inculcate discipline. more
At a number of stations more than 2-3 people come to see off or receive a passenger that makes a big crowd. To reduce the number of people coming to platform to receive or see off, only 2 platform tickets may be issued per journey ticket at the rate of Rs.10/-. If more than 2 platforms are asked the rate for platform ticket should be Rs.30/- and more for more Platform tickets. At the platform there should be proper checking by the RPF or Railway staff for persons present at the platform, whether to receive a passenger or see off some. more
One way to reduce entering and exiting railway stations is to install turnstiles that will open only if a valid platform ticket or rail ticket is inserted into a slot. This idea would need building appropriate infrastructure, and can be phased in, starting with most crowded railway stations. Best luck. more
Over a period of time, people coming to leave or receive their friends/relatives at railway stations is down. Surprise checks of tickets at the gate should be the norm rather than checks at all times more
