It is good that our efforts are not in vain. more
At present there are two prominent risk groups. One with no or only single dose, and the other, the children, who have not been vaccinated. The focus must be on both without any further delay. Third dose shall also be prioritized. The health workers, the front line workers, the senior citizens with second dose more than six months before, other senior citizens, followed by all other age groups. Looking back and around, except the second wave, Indian government with the active and passionate help from the people, has done exceptionally well in comparison to all developed nations. Even the Omicron variant is highly subdued in India. Relevant parameters are, hospitalization, impairment post recovery, and fatalities. Ignore number of infections. I am happy that the Corona is no more pandemic, it is now endemic in India. Caution with covid-19 appropriate behavior must continue for at least another year or until after completing the third dose is complete for the entire population. more
