Got a shampoo from Amazon instead of the phone I ordered

my name is neelu srivastava, I have ordered Redmi 6A (Price 5,999) mobile phone from amazon India online shopping portal on April 15, 2019. I had also made full payment of the product via BHIM APP. I have received order on April 17, But when i have opened the packet, i got dog shampoo. i have made this complaint to amazon online but they haven't helped me and said that refund is not possible. i tried to convey them that what i have received is just the opposite of what you have sent. but they didn't listen me and closed my complaint saying no refund can be processed. I have proof with all the invoice details which i have received. Despite continuously calling them, the representative didn't respond correctly and misbehaved too. As you can see, I have invoice of what I received and what I should have received. Both order number and retailer are different. I have lodged a complaint in the consumer forum, but I have heard it's process is slow. Can anybody help me with some alternative? more

You would definitely have received an e-invoice on your email-id after it was despatched to you. You would also have with you the receipt or confirmation message of payment from BHIM APP. So you should not get worried. you can write an email to Amazon customer care with all the details as attachment and ask them to replace the product. I have gone through this experience personally. The product shown on the website was different than what I ordered. They collected the product back and gave me a refund. Also you should have been careful while accepting delivery. You mentioned that you paid Rs. 5999/- for a mobile phone. The shipping box which is delivered to the customer has the package details pasted on the outside of the box along with the invoice, which you can check before accepting the delivery. In your case the invoice clearly mentions the product as Dog shampoo worth Rs. 550/-. Even the invoice is not in your name, unless you have ordered on the name of somebody else. You could have refused to accept the delivery in the first place. more
The shampoo I received had the invoice and delivery receipt of my name. I agree even I was at fault at some places. more
It could have been wrongly packed and sent to you instead of the desired item. Please take up the matter and it will be sorted out. more
It may be some scam from the delivery service. But Amazon wouldn't provide me contact details of either the seller, the delivery service or the delivery man, saying they don't have this information. more
