i think we should think just beyond preprogrammed and fixed courses where the notes run for 20 years from our esteemed professors. we need to segregrate the intellect who wish to go into real research and design, to those who want to enhance their skills in various disciplines and management. in our industry of manufacturing we have a ratio of 1:10 for engineers to skilled working people, but the ratio of training institutes available today is inverse i.e. 10:1 in the number of opportunities available. hence we are getting more and more unskilled and inefficient workforce in our industry, we are unable to adapt technology and leverage it. we need to provide adequate training institutes having level between ITI and Engineering courses, which builds them in specific skils as required in that region or the industry. again industry has to be invovled in PPP for the same to take them forward. Can we?? more
