Government Wasting Taxpayers Money
Look at these flats—brand new with amenities like electricity, water, cooking gas, elevators, a children's park, and a health center—all located in Delhi and gifted by GoI to slum dwellers.
Built by the DDA, each flat costs ₹25 lakh to construct, market value must be ₹50-75 lakh, but slum dwellers are getting them for just ₹1.42 lakh!
Who’s covering the remaining cost? Taxpayers. The same taxpayers who, despite working their entire lives, can’t afford a decent home without taking hefty loans. The beauty of our socialist democracy! And btw, what are the chances some of them will rent these flats and return to slum life? Not unheard of. more

Firstly, your info is incorrect. These are probably smaller flats and cannot cost 25L. Nation building is to provide minimum cost housing to poor whose income is less than 2L or so. Do you like them to live in huts. Money may come and go but sense of pride and happiness will stay with us forever. Please show some empathy. more

These glats are offered under the pretext of slum rehablitation. But, all these flats will be bought by politicians undrr binami names. Like how hundreds of thousands of benefits are paid to non existent accoun holders, who are none other than our politicians. more

As I already mentioned, the category of income tax payer community needs to be abolished and replaced with a unified and simplified tax system, which will force the entire adult population to pay tax. Every citizen has to contribute incase of taxes. Currently, everybody is paying GST on all goods and services procured. Like that, center needs to find out a viable solution like eg. expenditure tax on all non essential items, which majority of the population uses. Such type of out of the box thinking is required by the executive at the center. Otherwise this community will keep crying. more
