Govt actions to stop currency exchange misuse

Members across various circles had reported that approximately 40% of the people found in lines for exchange at bank were standing for someone else. The same was included in the LocalCircles release yesterday circulated via print, tv and digital media.

A few hours ago, the Finance Ministry has announced that indelible ink marks will now be used at cash counters to avoid same people exchanging money multiple times.

We thank each member of LocalCircles for their continued participation and contribution in sharing what you observe, your opinions and collectively, making things better!

Below are some examples of the work done by this particular circle on the subject.

Is there a HOTLINE for reporting crimes related to illegal note exchange, lending, distribution etc. anonymously? I think people will report many misuse or criminal activities. Then the police can investigate them quickly. Similarly, create a hotline for extremely elderly or sick people who cannot go to the banks right now. Ask police to help them get just some cash. Also consider having a separate line for elderly people, pregnant ladies etc. at the banks. Janata will support the program even more, if they see positive gestures from the govt, police, banks, etc. With all the black money recovered, surely the Govt can afford to put even some military and security forces to help out. It is a revolution, let's all do our best. Jai Hind! more
This is a futile exercise. The inconvenience is more than stopping exchange multiple times. Let the public exchange more if they are free. They can allow deposit up to five lakhs against each Pan no to ease the pressure in exchange. They can allow up to 50000 in non PAN cases. Let the money come out first to the extent possible, not bothering whether it is white or black more
This is what we have to pay for. Our ignorance is DANGEROUS. Kare koi bhare koi. Khaye bank babu, bharein ham. Scores of lacs of actual NPAs estimated, to be revealed from time to time and govt banks to be gradually bailed out from PUBLIC MONEY who paid direct and indirect taxes and suffering this Demonetization drive to fill the damage caused by the Bank babus by pro quo lending and NPAs. Mallya being the mask under which all the lakhs of crores of NPAs hidden. His is only 9 thousand crores and his assets much more than that worth from which can be covered. Mallya game a part of this NPA Scam. "Poora hisab do" drive.. Mallya took only 9 thousand crores, how about Lacs of crores and hiding it under the Bank babus puppet Mallya, to hide this NPAs scam:- सेवा में, माननीय सम्पादक / ब्यूरो प्रमुख/निदेशक महोदय, दैनिक समाचार पत्र / न्यूज़-चैनल & To All Indian Citizen आदरणीय महोदय, 19 नवम्बर 2016 को समय 12.00 बजे,से जंतर मंतर नई दिल्ली में सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों के ऋण पे निर्णय लेने वाले भ्रष्ट बाबुओं के भ्रष्ट्राचार के खिलाफ एवं अछछे कर्मियों के बचाव हेतु निजीकरण के खिलाफ, एन. पी. ए. 91- 7071056353 Email: hussainconven@gmail.com www.aihra.org PS Main delegation reaching 20-11-16 more
