With all the good intentions of the Govt of India the attitude of Indian should change. Any revolutionary changes take place when the middle class which comprises the majority should rise to the occasion . Also we should educate the under priviled. The mind set of of officials in Public sector institutions should change. The fear of under priviled should be done away with. If I may state so self authentication of Adhar card was the unknown thing for such people to open bank accounts. The education should begin here for transforming our Bharat more
Transforming India is a huge task. The government is doing it so should we. Tranforming India covers everything, rural education; skill development . Hygiene, basic amenities to the under priviledged; corruption; good & shelter, many other things including sawn Bar at. more
I accept, I am nobody to change the world. I am used to total neglect as in the following case In 2006 or 2007 February (at 63, I forget the exact year) I wrote an article that was accepted and published in then Indiainfoline.com sectioned as “Budget Expectation:” titled “Unified and simplified taxation system” with my name as S.S.Mani, though the site mentioned my location as Mumbai instead of Chennai from where I mailed it. On questioning the concerned person at Indiainfoline about the Chennai-Mumbai change, he justified that changing of location with the following words that shocked me! “Don’t worry. Your impressive article will be then only read by all connected, important people sitting in board rooms/libraries and Delhi, and also discussed fully in management institutions: No one is ready to accept that such articles on finance can be written by a person sitting in a place like Chennai. To them only writers in Mumbai/Ahmadabad/Delhi are capable of this type of thinking and expressing” I even ‘e-mailed’ my article to the then PM/FM/President! Nothing happened as it was the case then Of course action was seen very much in recent times, though I don’t want to discuss what that article that was covered in detail here. That article still stays in my computer but with many modifications now and then, preventing me from knowing the exact date of writing or publishing Has the India transformed at least now? ========================= Back to my present article in its last posting: (In my words, and not dishonouring any religion or beliefs) …. Rama came: Krishna came: Jesus came: Allah came. And all are still around us. But things have not changed. They may appear to have changed, but gets more worse after a few years or decades or centuries latter! Unless me and you change, things will remain the same. Does it mean we simply resign and accept whatever happens? It is generally said and believed that whatever has to happen will happen. BUT it is NOT at all said that you can’t fight against incorrect things or situations or acts Though He will take care of all situations, you need to keep doing your duty. It is that change that I wish: I close here, with my requests to the govt as: 1) Please do not wait for any single issue to multiply anywhere in the country. Start attending to it even the affected person is only one! Remember the Chola king’s sacrifice here (It is in my previous posting here 2) The govt must make it a point to think in a long term view in all departmental actions. All officials must be subjected to SUCH REGULAR TRAINNINGS ON LONG TERM PLANNING at every step he or she initiates. 3) Let the government remember forever that NOT a single uncomfortable situation in even a remote corner of the country is insignificant. All are important: whether attending to that fetches vote to the ruling party or not. 4) Tax the entertainment industry at very high rates: Don’t be lenient. Instead of trying to tax items that are commonly consumed by the “have nots”. Instead attempt to bring them into the opposite camp of “haves” and then tax them if the country needs such a tax even at that time or changed situation, that resulted by your action. I don’t expect or want any appreciation or likes from you my presentation. I want the responsible leaders at least to read. Thank you all for sparing your valuable time even if it is only a few minutes more
Now agitation for anything is increasing, whether the agitation makes any sense or not, or brings any solution or not! Why? Everyone, including those, totally unconnected with any agitation mostly, who stand behind these agitations and continue to laugh their way happily to the banks knows it. Some genuine agitation all over the country may have still some meaning. One way of solving all this is to educate ALL citizens. But can it happen overnight, after sleeping for many decades? Or having followed that path of retaining uneducated lot for some unknown conveniences? I stress again: There are many people working in the govt sector. Like in nationalised banks. People who have visited those banks before nationalisation know how efficiently those banks were working. But after nationalisation, banks had more employees to do less amount of jobs. Can we overnight change that? No, now many people are used to doing less work for more pay. Like the freebie culture that is getting wide spread. Who is benefitted? The public? Or the introducer of such schemes? Or the following opposition govt after change of govt, not willing to change the freebie culture? I will meet you tomorrow…….contd more
I am not talking of the time that existed before 1947. But after that. Population increased: then govt tried to control population growth. The result? Educational needs increased at all levels: then the govt tried to open more institutions. The result? Travelling needs increased. Then roads were formed The result? Travelling increased: two wheelers and 4 wheelers production changed from quantitatively controlled methods to increased quantity. The result? More trains were increased. The result? More flights are being increased? What will be the result? Bullet trains, smart cities are being talked about. What will be the result? Renewable energy is being talked about for long. Was any action taken? Taking the case of tN, was the renewable energy used fully even when it was being produced? No, more energy was purchased from "Others" for a higher cost. What is the result of just permitting a high production of but refusing to buy it? Is the common man alive to enjoy all such facilities, introduced by a govt that he/she elected? Hint: WE (I MEAN THE GOVT) ALWAYS WAITS FOR THE PROBLEMS TO MULTIPLY AND THEN ONLY LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS? Wait, let me add more colour in coming days……contd more
