Govt of India should shortlist start up projects
While Modi government is certainly striving to promote the ease of business and remove the bottlenecks , the real problem is in the identification of suitable and appropriate projects for investment and commencing the start up activities.
In such circumstances, the start up entrepreneurs need some ideas as to what would be the appropriate projects for investment that is in tune with the government of India's policies and future plans.
The big problem in India today is the slackening of investment in manufacturing sector, which represents the real growth. While many start up entrepreneurs have ideas with regard to services sector, this is not the case in the case of manufacturing sector.
Government of India should take some initiatives to shortlist manufacturing projects in different field such as chemical , pharmaceutical etc. in the small and medium scale sector.
It is said that when Mr. Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat , such exercise was carried out and some projects were shortlisted for priority support by the government. This approach yielded good results.
Such exercise is now much needed at all India level.
A task force may be constituted by the Government of India immediately to identify such projects and place it in public domain for the benefit of start up entrepreneurs and financing institutions. Certainly, this would go a long way in enthusing the start up entrepreneurs and giving a push to the Make in India programme.
