Govt raising medicine prices by 11% wake up ppl

I am just so surprised by the 3rd class opposition parties we have in this country. Yes u heard right 3rd class.they never raise issue of us common people.

In a time like this India's drug pricing authority on Friday allowed a price hike of 10.76607% for scheduled drugs-which are under price control (attached). This is the highest price hike seen ever and at a time when most of us common citizens are seeing high petrol diesel, high inflation and therefore essentials price is higher esp fruit veggies cooking oil, senior citizen concession in train is gone and EPF interest rate reduced.

I beg LocalCircles manager and all members of the circles to raise this issue and somehow get govt of India to not increase medicine prices or find an alternate so it doesnt hit the consumers.

Those who dont care about issues just leave Localcircles and live in peace for those of us here must fight this battle. more

In the present circumstances, Govt has Totally Failed in Controlling the Inflation. Every day things are becoming Costlier and there is no end to it. more
The pricing mechanism needs a thorough over-haul. A system controlled by babus with no relevance to the cost of production or the importance of certain medicines cannot form an arbitrary pricing mechanism. There has to be a rationale on import duties, local taxes, distributor margins and discounts. Then, medicines that need to be subsisidised have to be determined in a dynamic manner. Every drug or medicine should be priced in amanner that it helps teh people for whom its intended. Government and corporates profiteering on medicines is sin. more
Please understand the realities and let us not give in to kneejerk reactions. This is a consequence of Global Supply Chain disruption. The APIs for a large majority of the drugs are held by China. UPA government killed off the Indian API research and manufacture and transferred the entire dependency onto the Chinese Supply chain. As is a well known fact there are no private enterprises in China. All of them have major #CCP stake and now the #CCP has raised the cost of API to support their crumbling economy. The Real estate bubble there has burst and this has had a cascade impact on the rest of the economy. China is an export based economy and is now fleecing anyone depending on their exports. We are not the only country to be affected. The GOI has restarted encouraging Indian R&D labs for generic APIs and alternative molecules. This will take some time to mature. As someone said, 70 years of damage cannot be repaired in 7 years. This is a phase we all have to live through. Things will change for the better once India becomes more self-reliant. Thank you more
Let's sign a petition urging the government not to raise the price of medicines as we senior citizens will suffer the most. Does the present central government want to kill all senior citizens. more
How Govt. can stop price increase when 70% API are imported from China who have created monopoly in this field. Had UPA Govt. not opposed, this industry would have come to India. China was second option. more
" Sir, I am surprised that you have given "third class" rank to our opposition parties! They (all put together!) do not deserve any rank at all! The all have only one agenda : how to bring down Modiji. With this state of mind, can anyone ever expect them to think or work for the common man of Bharat? Most unfortunately, we still have millions of educated citizens voting for these n'th calss opposition parties and their candidates. more
Interestingly, all those parties who are again on the move to join hands to bring down BJP in 2024 General Elections are heavily corrupt, made billions & billions for theimselves and their families as also the parties they own are solely their family properties leaving no scope for any other party workers. We must be very carefull of these fraudsters who want to rule (to loot?) the country jointly (more than 20 regional parties). more
