It is better to count what the individual are doing for the nourishment of their children rather than counting what the government is doing for them. If a well-fed child in India do not reach a particular hight at certain age, there may be genetic environmental or many other factors, the one most important factor we see is, India is a vast market for nutritional supplements for children, producer companies of these supplements advertise to convince people that if you do not use these supplements your child will be malnourished. Our ancestors were taller than we are, do we think they were using Nestle products to combat malnutrition, no, they were primarily breast fed by their mothers then with natural food. All the hype is created by the companies producing child food supplements. If situation persists stunted growth standards may get further reduced. Government health departments frequently advertises that breast feeding is one of the most important factors for child, but do we really want to follow it? Please think about it. more

Can you please indicate how you have arrived at this statement? Is there any document to show that the Government is working on such a ruling? That will be most helpful if it can be provided. We will be able to comment more objectively then. This kind of bland statement is not helping us to arrive at any conclusion. more
