Govt should immediately ban packing of juices etc. In tetra packs
There hav been instances where on opening a tetra pack of juice some insect or even a dead lizard has been found which cud hav caused a serious health problem nd even death. Such foreign bodies cannot normally be detected in a opaque tetra pack unless the consumer detects it through some odd taste or bad smell or any obstacle in sucking juice etc from such tetra pack. In fact in a recent case (video attached) a dead lizard was found inside Fruity pack. This cud be detected because the child who was to drink found it difficult to drink as he was unable to suck due to obstruction caused by dead lizard in it. Govt./FASSI should wake to such serious matter nd make rules immediately for compulsory use of better transparent quality packing material where one can see through the contents inside the pack very clearly before drinking. Packing in card board type packs(tetra packs) should be totally banned. more

Using transparent packaging alone would not serve the purpose. Most important is to maintain strict compliance of the stipulations made by the concerned quality control agencies of the government at the manufacturing level itself so that the eatables and drinks are free from any kind of contamination. To ensure strict maintenance of quality, the officials of these agencies must keep close watch over the activities at factory level to maintain quality & cleanliness. To comply with, they must make frequent visits at the manufacturing units at irregular intervals. Moreover, provisions must be made in the respective laws for stringent of punishment of the manufacturers in the event of any of their products fount contaminated of the nature referred to in the post and appropriate punishment be awarded as quickly as possible but within a shortest period of not more than 6 months or so by making the system of establishment of the charges simple and easy. more

Tetrapack sud not b banned. At the most, u may suggest that TP sud b made of transperant material. But then you will ask for every food pack of any size to be transperant ? Be it Bread packet or butter/cheese/... do u want it to be transperant ? People often find cockroach in an opened food pack so that he can return it or may be to defame a brand. more

Just because we or our fellow citizen are neither public conscious nor hygienic nor dedicated & careful in performing assigned duty, Shall we abandon everything that has been invented for comfort and well being of humanity. People, who subscribe to this idea, are either short on deep thought or archiac. Tetra-pack is multilayered bacterial-proof container. If only, we seal it with consumable item in hygienic state, it can preserve it in the same state. more
