Govts Must Curb Corruption of Officials First
In more than 70 years there has been no change in our conditions in our country and corruption in all the places in increasing day by day. In recent election of Karnataka there was expenditure of about Rs 10000 Cr on campaigning by all parties the figure may be much more. The funds needed for running any organisation political or others are provided by business houses Industrialists etc. which may be black money OR there may be some other source. No one knows about source of money source of funds.
So many ministers were campaigning in Karnataka instead of doing productive work for the people in general
No one parts with OR donates money or any other wealth without having any selfish motto or purpose. Those who funded elections will definitely influence people in high places for some contracts Or recover the money through inferior quality work which is a loss to exchequer.
It is therefore essential that the election campaign must be very sleek brief and without any road shows big rallies. As far as possible campaigning should be through digital mode like Television channels Radio channels , Internet website Mobile phones messages . News papers can also be used. But all this to be monitored by Election commission and also it will be easy to monitor the expenditure. No Road show no door to door campaign
One more suggestion for reducing corruption and also expenditure of Government could be curtailing the number of MP MLA and Corporators. as it is most of MP MLA Corporators do not do anything for the general public , they are interested in their own welfare and collecting funds for next elections. In most Governments at State and Center most of crucial decisions are taken by Prime Minister Party president and Chief Minister all other jobs are done by IAS and IPS officers , then why we need so many MP MLA and MLCs is it justified not at all.
Some one needs to go to Supreme court on both theabove suggestions OR Transparency international should do something about it more
